Aurora Aksnes is an Norwegian Singer and Songwriter. She was born in Stavanger on the 15th of June 1996. Her professional name is Aurora. Her name can be spelled by the name AURORA. Her debut E.P. Running with the Wolves by Decca Records was released on May 15, 2015 it received a raving review from journalists as well as press. Half the World Away, by the Oasis band, for John Lewis Christmas advertisements and Nature Boy, by Nat King Cole are among the artist's most notable covers. Aurora Aksnes earliest musical memory is of finding an attic piano and becoming enthralled by the music it could produce. The parents of her May-Britt family and Jan Oystein Aksnes encouraged her to take up music not as professional or as a pastime, but to grow. She started writing songs of her own. She points to renowned songwriters Leonard Cohen and Bob Dylan as influences as well as an inclination to Bjork's style. Her decision to begin performing the songs she wrote publicly after her mom suggested they can help other people, not to gain fame with her work but to make people see around them realize their importance and the ways they impact the world. At age 6 she started playing the piano, and when she was nine was writing music. The family did not know that she had begun until fourteen. Aurora wasn't a childhood dream. She claims she loves music and writing. According to her, music is her favourite way to feel anything.
